So my friend is getting married. Hooray says my brain, BOO says my wallet.

This chick is costing me a fortune!! What happened to getting married for LOVE, to have your family there, to be surrounded by the people who care about you the most and then party the night away with your friends.

$50 for a shower gift for a shower I couldn't even attend because I couldn't afford a hotel for the night.
$167 for a hotel for a night in Toronto for a bachelorette party
$35 dollars a day to park at said hotel
$75 dollars for a pole dancing class
$20 to get into a bar
$50 for the new dress I had to buy to follow bride's sister's dress code for bachelorette party
$20 for shoes to go with that dress
$200 dress for black tie wedding
$180 dollars per night for a hotel room for 3 day wedding event
$100 dollars for wedding gift

And god knows what else I am going to have to buy or pay for between now and August.

Better be the best damn meal I've ever had at this reception. I can't drink 'cause I'll be marathon training. Oi.
